Affirm offers buy now, pay later to millions of shoppers in North America

Affirm is configured as a standard payment method in VTEX:

  1. In Adyen:

    • Enable Affirm in your Adyen Customer Area.

  2. In VTEX:

    • Go to Store Settings > Payment > Settings.
    • In the Payment Conditions tab, click the Add Payment Method button.
    • Search for AdyenAffirm and select it.

    Attention: When searching for Affirm in VTEX, you will find two options (Affirm and AdyenAffirm). Make sure to select the AdyenAffirm option so that the Adyen provider is used correctly.

    Affirm Selection

    • Select the Adyen provider in the Process with provider field.
    • Click Save.

Business Rules​

Payment Flow​

  1. The customer selects Affirm at checkout.
  2. The customer is redirected to Affirm to choose a payment plan and complete a quick credit check.
  3. Once approved, the customer confirms the purchase and is redirected back to the store.
  4. Adyen confirms the transaction and sends a webhook.
  5. The connector updates the order status in VTEX.

Specific Rules​

  • Eligibility: Availability depends on the customer's credit evaluation by Affirm.
