Set up Bizum in the Adyen Customer Area
Before enabling Bizum, you must:
- Have a contract with a local supported bank (acquirer). Visit Bizum's official site for a list of available banks.
- Receive your MID (also known as FUC) and Terminal ID from the acquirer.
- Inform the acquirer that Adyen will process payments on your behalf so they can connect your MID with Adyen as a gateway. Adyen's IPSP number for e-commerce and Bizum operations is 31710.
After completing these steps, enable Bizum in your Adyen Customer Area. For more details, see Adyen's Bizum documentation.
Set up the payment condition in VTEX
- Go to Store Settings > Payment > Settings.
- In the Payment Conditions tab, click the
button.
- Search for Bizum and select it.
- Associate it with the Adyen provider.
- Save the configuration.
Business Rules
Payment Flow
- The customer selects Bizum as the payment method at checkout.
- Adyen returns a redirect action, and the shopper is sent to Bizum flow to complete the payment.
- The customer authenticates and confirms the payment in the Bizum flow.
- After Bizum confirms the payment, Adyen sends an AUTHORISATION webhook to the connector.
- The connector approves the payment and updates VTEX, redirecting the customer back to the store.
Specific Rules
- Capture: Always immediate, with no configurable capture window.
- Refund: Allowed in partial or full amounts, depending on Adyen's rules.
- Cancellation: Not possible after payment completion.
- Availability: Only for customers with bank accounts at Spanish banks that support Bizum.
- Currency: EUR only.
